Recently, in Trinidad and Tobago!

My two-week trip to Trinidad and Tobago last month could not have been more productive.

Numerous meetings with Hospital Christian Fellowship, Lawyers For Jesus, and Operation Restoration (Guyana), a spectacular Youth For Christ rally, catching up with friends and partners at Christian Radio Isaac 98.1FM and Faith, Hope and Love Center, defining our location in Tobago for ministry facilitation, new ministry partnerships established with InterSchool and InterVarsity Fellowship and churches (Sea Lots Open Bible Church and Full Gospel Tabernacle) and the establishment of our office location at St. Augustine Evangelical Bible Church and Christ-Centered Counseling Center in Trinidad for the His Way Out Ministries Caribbean Office.

In cooperation with our Caribbean ministry partners, His Way Out Ministries remains dedicated to raising awareness and equipping the Body of Christ in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean Islands for ministry to those with the unwanted brokenness of same-sex attraction.

“Be encouraged that Christ is building His Church, and He is doing it out of people including those who were sexually immoral, idolaters, male prostitutes, homosexual offenders, thieves, greedy, drunkards, slanderers, and swindlers but who have been washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

To God be the glory for the great things He has done!

Mark Your Calendar
For ‘Wives’ Only meets on the first Saturday of each month from 9am to 11am at the His Way Out Ministries office. When homosexuality or sexual impurity hits a marriage, it certainly produces a crisis. However, it may be that with the ‘secret’ becoming known, the marriage has opportunity to survive. Next meeting? Saturday, June 3rd.

Friends and Family offers a relaxed, informal meeting that is available to anyone seeking to understand the complexities of homosexuality and to become more effective in reaching those combating same-gender attraction. Friends and Family meets on the 4th Saturday of each month from 9:00am to 11:00am at the His Way Out Ministries office. Next meeting? Saturday, June 24th.

Dear Pastors and Church Leaders,

As an individual that spent 17 years of my life as a gay-identified man, I am well acquainted with ‘gay’ and all that it entails. I can assure you that for many (not necessarily for all), their life is anything but gay. Ensnared by a brokenness many believe cannot be resolved, many suffer in silence – in the world and in the Church.

In today’s world and Church, I do appreciate and understand there are many considerations, if not factors on the line when anyone steps out to address homosexuality and related issues. Without question, the greatest factor on the line is, “Where will he or she spend eternity?”

Please do not ignore the present crisis that exists, especially with Satan relentlessly unleashing everything he has against this present generation. More and more, I see, understand and hear the words of our Lord when He said, “If you do what I have called you to do, some will hate you, and persecute you simply because of My Word and righteousness.”

To be frank, my role at His Way Out Ministries is often very hard because I would rather fit in and be liked. But I have to remember and hold on to the fact that it is not me nor the message of His Way Out Ministries that is often being dismissed – it is Jesus that is being rejected.

Today is the day to be both loving and bold. It is both my privilege and responsibility, as it is of each and every faithful follower of Christ Jesus, to clearly teach how the Bible defines marriage between a man and a woman, and how not having sex outside that union is pure and blessed in the Lord’s sight. Minister to minister, would you please pray with me that God would truly give the Christian community a heart for the gay community and people who are LGBTQ? Would you pray for them frequently and ask God to send the Holy Spirit to bring conviction and repentance, believing God for an awakening in the LGBTQ community?

One day in heaven, we will each meet the people our ministries of grace and truth helped by keeping them on the narrow road to life and the path of righteousness.

Let’s stand together in the gap for this generation. This isn’t my fight; this is our fight.

Pastor Phillip Lee
