Today, the evangelical church that knows how to respond properly to homosexuality is more the exception than the rule. Christian leadership should be preaching from the pulpit that homosexuality is not a worse sin than idolatry or adultery or greed (1 Corinthians 6:9-11), and those struggling with homosexuality can talk about this in a safe environment of love and friendship and accountability.
