For Ladies Only

It is our nature to isolate when we are struggling with the various trials in life. But we do not have to walk through them alone. Open the door to healing by sharing your experiences, strengths and hope and by becoming willing to accept God’s grace in solving life’s problems.

For Ladies Only, facilitated by Ginny Mitchell, is women supporting, praying, loving and caring for one another by being real and not hiding their feelings. For Ladies Only offers a safe environment to talk about real issues ladies have and are sometimes too ashamed or afraid to talk about. Come and receive biblical guidance, prayer and encouragement for your healing journey.

For Ladies Only meets on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00am to 11:00am at His Way Out Ministries Office.

“If the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle.” (1 Corinthians 14:8)

in-memorium-200In the aftermath of the horrific and heart-wrenching tragedy in Orlando, Florida, we are witnessing some of the best and worst aspects of America. Prayerfully, may all of America see the murderous sin of terrorism and pray for all of America to be safe from evildoers.

This is a time to grieve, mourn and pray.

His Way Out Ministries asks and calls on all partners and members in America, the Caribbean and South America to intercede and pray for the many families that have suffered the senseless and tragic loss of their loved one.

Lord of all compassion, we pray for all those caught up in the midst of human tragedy.
We pray for those who have lost life and for those working to save life.
We pray for those worried for people they love.
We pray for those who need peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray for all those turning to You in the midst of horrific tragedy and turmoil.
We pray for those crying out to You in fear and in love.
We pray for those in confusion and despair.
We pray for those whose tears will never end.
We pray for those in need of your unending love.
Lord have mercy.

When such outrageous violence and extreme loss of life is beyond our capacity to comprehend, we seek and run to our compassionate and Almighty God. As Christians, all life is sacred and to be celebrated. Presently, there are men and women in the gay community that are afraid. Understandably so. Therefore, let us not become more concerned about political or social issues and pronouncements than we are with those who are fearful and mourn.

As the Body of Christ, we can and we must love. This is all about people. People whom God loves and people for whom Jesus died.

May God have mercy upon us all.

Angels don’t always fly so stop looking up in the sky for one even though he or she might be up there.

Would this angry, self-blaming, sad, psychologically and physically damaged woman ever stop blaming herself for what she was going through in life? Struggling to recover from a serious bodily injury that left her disfigured and somewhat incapacitated, she writhed in agony on her hospital bed. Where was God when all of this happened to her? God could not be real.

“God, if you are real, show me a sign, let someone come and speak to me!” she internalized. Her emotional distress was eating out her heart and torturing her confused mind. A few eternal minutes passed.

Impossible! Someone, a TOTAL stranger, (“Angel,” not her real name) walked over to her bed and started to talk to her. She told the patient (“Bernie,” not her real name) that she was visiting someone in the hospital and saw her and thought she’d just come over to say “hi” and to tell her that God loves her.

“Do you know me?” asked Bernie.

“No, I don’t,” smiled Angel.

“So why did you come over to see me and you don’t even know me?” interrogated Bernie.

“Well… because God told me to do so,” responded Angel in a confident, angelic voice.

Bernie was dumbstruck! They talked a little more. Angel told her she was coming from a workshop called “A Christian Response to Homosexuality”. Bernie quizzed Angel further about the Christian response and Angel told her that although homosexuality is a sin (like other sins), and it is wrong yet as Christians we should be compassionate and show love, even though we are not condoning the sin.

The hot tears streamed down Bernie’s contorted face as she shared: “I am married to a man but basically all my life I’ve struggled with homosexuality and I’m with this woman partner to whom I am also married for many years but my husband does not know about my female partner. I know it’s wrong and I want to leave her but I’m afraid. I don’t know what to do but I want to get out of it. I suffer such anguish and pain.” Bernie told Angel that she was an answer to her prayer to God as a sign to show that He is real. Angel squeezed through that opening to share the gospel with her and to tell her that God loves her and so does she. Angel promised to refer her to one of the counselors who was at His Way Out Ministry (HWOM) workshop in Trinidad & Tobago West Indies.

Angels come in many forms, sometimes flying from one country to another but also in the form of a total stranger sent by God to minister to a brokenhearted bisexual woman.

*(NOTE: Sincere thanks to Pastor Phillip Lee and others from HWOM who held these workshops as your work is changing many lives for God’s glory. This true story was related to me by “Angel”. Bernie’s legal relationship with the woman was not done in Trinidad & Tobago as thankfully that kind of so-called “marriage” is illegal here but it was done in another country where it is legalized in some states).

Since you can’t be here to witness for yourself what God does, I’d like to share a typical day with you at His Way Out Ministries.

The day begins with a phone appointment with a man in Utah. We have been talking for quite awhile. After working though many aspects of his same-gender attraction, he is now talking about his desire for marriage (and all the concerns that go along with it).

The next session is via email with a pastor in Michigan regarding a young man that is unusually gifted in leading worship but admits to his struggle with same-gender attraction. With his church knowing his story, he remains accountable to his pastor and committed to the healing process with His Way Out Ministries being part of the team.

The guy just before lunch is walking away from his addiction to pornography and is learning to be intimate with Jesus for the first time in his Christian experience. Like a sponge, he feverishly takes several pages of notes as we talk.

After lunch is the Jones’ (not their real name) wanting to talk about their fears and anxieties should their daughter continue down the path of a lesbian relationship.

Next, a marriage that has been impacted if not devastated by homosexuality. The next email conversation represents a wife that is seeking God with the husband completely complacent to the crisis in their family. No amount of reason seems to get through. While knowing he is losing his family, he doesn’t seem to care. Heartbreaking and mind-boggling.

Emails continue to arrive in the office from pastors in such places as Kenya, India and the United Kingdom asking, “How do I handle this?” or “How should I respond to…?”

A teenager comes in with his mother and dad. He is dealing with a sexual offense with a family member. Aside from being in court, he is grappling with sexual identify confusion and just being a teenager. In spite of the stress of life, progress is being made. God is moving and positive things are unfolding.

That evening, I continue to answer emails and draft articles for our monthly Newsletter and newspaper publications with Ginny checking-in with the wives group and Craig and Karen with parents.

The above is not an unusual day at His Way Out Ministries. Yes, lots of challenges, but also lots of life and lots of Jesus’ direct touch in people’s hearts. This is what you help us do each day along with groups, training seminars and conferences. His Way Out Ministries would not exist without you. Thank you and bless you for giving to our work. You are very, very appreciated! Your support and prayers keeps us going and afloat. God bless you!

rr-the-gay-gospel-dallasIn this updated edition of A Strong Delusion, author and counselor Joe Dallas helps readers understand what pro-gay theology is and how to confront it. In a biblical manner, Dallas examines believers’ personal responses and the need for bold love and commitment as they, 1) become familiar with the movement’s background and beliefs, 2) study a clear, scriptural response to each belief, and 3) extend Christ’s love to those living the homosexual lifestyle.

This resource is an important one for those who have been unsure how to respond to the growing acceptance of homosexuality in the evangelical community. It offers the balance between conviction and compassion and a practical guide to communicating with those who have embraced the pro-gay Christian movement.

A Christ-Like Response to Homosexuality

Jill Stacey Rodgers

A Christ-Like Response to Homosexuality begins Monday evening, June 20, 2016 – 6:00pm at Calvary Chapel – Lone Mountain in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Today, most Christians learn more about homosexuality from movies, the Internet and television. Many who struggle with same-sex attraction are torn by the debate while desiring to hear the redemptive truth of the Bible.

When the confession, “I’m gay!” comes from a daughter, son, spouse or close friend, it hits like a bombshell, especially in Christian families. “Where did we go wrong?” will undoubtedly surface.

In this era of gay rights, everyone knows someone who is gay-identified. “How do I share Christ without compromising the truth of Scripture?” is a commonly asked question.

The discipleship class facilitated by Jill Stacey Rodgers, author of Cinderella Dream: A Memoir About a Shattered Life Restored, will also address:

  • The vital necessity for an intimate relationship with God.
  • The part we play in our healing (how we cooperate with God).
  • What are the root causes of same-sex attraction?
  • Is there any truth to pro-gay theology?
  • Church – an integral part of a new lifestyle.
  • What does it mean to live an overcoming life?
  • And much more!

Beginning June 20th, A Christ-Like Response to Homosexuality will continue to meet on the 3rd Monday evening of each month at 6:00pm.

Beginning at 7:00pm, Calvary Chapel – Lone Mountain also offers Most Excellent Way using Biblical principles to overcome habits, addictions and compulsive behaviors. The group meets for a time of teaching, discussion, Biblical guidance and prayers.

Why should you consider supporting a ministry helping men, women, families and churches, in America, the Caribbean and South America to face and overcome homosexuality?

Please enjoy just a few brief testimonies of individuals that have experienced the transforming work of the Holy Spirit at His Way Out Ministries.

“I know that there are a lot of people like me, who came to this spiritual hospital called His Way Out Ministries. Since spiritual warfare starts in our thought patterns, thank God, He renews and changes those patterns. I can’t even begin to say thank-you enough to everyone at His Way Out Ministries who allowed God to use them to bring wholeness to my life.” – Carol

“Thank you His Way Out Ministries and your supporters in helping to bring healing to my life in the area of my sexuality. I was broken, desperate, alone and confused. Now, I look forward to life with hope.” – Bernie

“When I joined the support group at His Way Out Ministries, I did so to face and confront issues that were always suppressed under guilt and shame. I’ve learned a little more about grace. The group became a refuge and I began to look forward to the meetings to let out all I had been stuffing inside. I found understanding and support for very fragile emotions.” – John

It’s been quite a year. So many new discoveries about who I am and what God plans for my life. Through His Way Out Ministries, I have learned so many aspects of life and His creation. Thank you His Way Out Ministries for being a vessel that delivers truth to men like myself and families in the throws of confusion and concern regarding homosexuality.” – Steve
