Each Saturday morning beginning at 7:00am (PST) on KERI 1410AM, and live streamed at www.wilkinsradio.com, His Way Out Ministries offers a 30-minute broadcast dedicated to equipping, educating, and encouraging the Body of Christ to reach out and minister to individuals, families, and churches impacted by the brokenness of same-sex attraction.

Our twelfth broadcast is titled “Letting Go”. As Christians, a huge challenge is giving our loved one over to the Lord. If our prayers go something like, “God, do this,” or “God, don’t allow this,” our prayers need to become, “Lord, I ask you to bring my loved one to You in any way You choose.” Letting go goes against our very nature. However, if we want God to work in the situation, we must let Him do it His way.

Every person knows or will know at least one individual infected by HIV/AIDS. That means every church in the United States and around the world will come face-to-face with the on-going tragedy. It has been said, “Give me one good reason why I should care?” With regard to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, there are millions of reasons to care.

red-ribbon-200In my personal travels to churches of all denominations, when I share where we remain in the global crisis with regard to HIV/AIDS, those in attendance are shocked to hear present day facts. I, for one, will continue to hope and pray that Christians will play a more vital role in turning back the tide of this pandemic. I truly believe, in this moment, God has called us to respond. God has given us Biblical principles to halt HIV infections and to bring hope to those whose lives have been devastated by this deadly disease. The Church can be a powerful tool in preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and ministering hope to those infected.

When I meet people with HIV/AIDS, it doesn’t matter to me how they got it. All that matters is that they are human beings whom God loves so much and asks us to love too. Ultimately, we must talk about HIV/AIDS. Why? Because this is about people and not just an issue. In the name of decency, true compassion, humanity and the sanctity of life (all life), the truth cannot and must not be ignored or suppressed with what continues to unfold regarding HIV/AIDS. Peoples’ lives are not made better physically, psychologically, spiritually or socially as a result of ignoring or unwillingness to talk about a real, true crisis of our time.

HIV/AIDS is a disease that impacts real people and their loved ones who must learn to face this together because no one can face it alone. People facing HIV/AIDS do better when they know what to expect on the journey. They do best when they don’t have to find their way alone. The journey begins with “talking about it.”

Without fail, every individual and every family member I have ever met impacted by HIV/AIDS asks, “How do you get through this?” What they are really saying is, “I don’t know how I’m going to survive this.”

I pray that you will see “no one except Jesus” (Matthew 17:8), holding out His arms to assure you of His love and understanding. He alone can meet your needs, wipe away the tears, heal the wounds, comfort the hurts, and cleanse.

With HIV/AIDS comes the very real resolution of emotional issues such as anger, loneliness, guilt, humiliation and fear.

Are we, God’s people, not compelled to share His love with others? Personally, I can’t think of any group that needs to experience His love more than people infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Jesus would listen to them, laugh with them, and weep with them. He would always be with them. Their fathers and mothers might forsake them, but He would never do that.

While HIV/AIDS is seen by many as a disease of death, it can also teach how to really live. Indeed, God is bigger than all of life’s problems and troubles. He is bigger than AIDS.

I, for one, remain determined to continue raising visibility and openness about the disease as a way of reducing the stigma and calling the Church worldwide to a Christ-like response to the heartbreaking faces of AIDS. The need and the opportunity remains great for the Christian community to take the lead in responding to the HIV/AIDS crisis with conviction and compassion.

Christian, you are uniquely qualified to bear witness to the world that the One who defeated death offers us the principles and the power to defeat HIV/AIDS.

Today, there remains a world crying out for hope.

Jesus continues to call His Church worldwide to respond to the HIV/AIDS pandemic through a message of Christian hope and compassion. HIV/AIDS is not the end.

People facing HIV/AIDS do better when they know they don’t have to find their way alone.

For Ladies Only

It is our nature to isolate when we are struggling with the various trials in life. But we do not have to walk through them alone. Open the door to healing by sharing your experiences, strengths and hope and by becoming willing to accept God’s grace in solving life’s problems.

For Ladies Only, facilitated by Ginny Mitchell, is women supporting, praying, loving and caring for one another by being real and not hiding their feelings. For Ladies Only offers a safe environment to talk about real issues ladies have and are sometimes too ashamed or afraid to talk about. Come and receive biblical guidance, prayer and encouragement for your healing journey.

“You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” (Philippians 4:13)

For Ladies Only meets on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00am to 11:00am at His Way Out Ministries Office.

Our seventh broadcast is titled “Homosexuality vs The Authority of Scripture.”

Why has the issue of homosexuality been so divisive to the Church?

In many respects, the dividing line seems to be whether the Bible is ‘inspired’ and without error in its original delivery to the prophets from God. Ultimately, the true crisis we face today is the Lordship of Christ and the Authority of Scripture. It really does seem that ‘society’ is often dictating to the Church what the Church should believe.

In many respects, the Church has not been given any choice but to challenge and confront those that promote ‘gay is good’ in a stand against the denigration of biblical authority, the loss of a coherent definition of family, and the sexual exploitation of children.

Frankly, the battle(s) that rages, is not over just a persons’ sexuality, but rather over which spirit will claim that person’s allegiance. The cultural battle over homosexuality has become in many respects the defining moment for our society.

The more important aspect of this battle is not the political one; it is the one for the individual human soul.

And this is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 6:11

His Way Out Ministries was founded with the expressed purpose of raising awareness and encouraging the Body of Christ to minister transformingly to those who struggle with sexual and relational brokenness through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in the healing power of the Holy Spirit.

Seeing the evidence of sexual brokenness all around us, we believe that men and women who struggle with homosexuality, addiction to pornography, lesbianism, etc. must have answers to their questions. And we believe those answers are available through a dynamic encounter with Jesus Christ.

Our concern is for the sexually broken and our desire is to minister to those in need within the church and the community at large, using the truth of Scripture, the power of our testimony, and the dialogue of issues.

Our position rests on the authority of Scripture versus the interpretations of some of the social sciences and medicine. His Way Out Ministries services are centered on the biblical foundations of compassion, integrity, and dependence on God.

We live in a sexually broken society in which homosexual practice, adultery, and fornication are sins that call for repentance and openness to the transforming power of God. We believe in the ministry of the church to assist those who desire sexual wholeness. And while we do not condone the practice of homosexuality, adultery, or fornication, and consider such practice incompatible with Christian teaching and conduct, we believe that God’s grace is available to all who repent.

We believe that through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the healing power of the Holy Spirit, often mediated by extended and competent ministry, prayer, and a caring Christian community, the sexually broken can experience transformation and restoration towards wholeness.

We repudiate any non-loving, prejudicial attitudes that deny Christ’s unconditional love for all people and declare such behavior to be sin. Our intent is to extend a compassionate Christian ministry to everyone.

We are committed to effectively and compassionately communicating God’s heart concerning sexual brokenness and wholeness, while disputing the unchangeable nature of sexual orientation.

Teacher and educator on the complexities of homosexuality, Pastor Phillip Lee has been addressing churches and conferences within the United States, the Caribbean and South America since 1994.

He speaks on a variety of subjects specifically related to Christianity and God’s divine intent for human sexuality, including sexual purity, homosexuality, HIV/AIDS, discipleship, sexual and relational brokenness, and recovery and restoration.

Phillip frequently speaks and addresses Sunday morning church services, and is often a guest on television and radio programs.
