In today’s relentless barrage of words, images, slogans, and ideas that assault us from all sides regarding homosexuality, some have settled for short, simple and emotion-laden, one-stop conclusions.

As a result, many are now caught in a crossfire and faced with answering a critically important question, one with eternal consequences.

Each individual must choose:

“Will I determine good and evil for myself, or will I uphold and stand on a Word outside myself – The Word from The One – beginning with His Word of creation to what will be His last Word of judgment upon each of our lives?”

There is no doubt, individually and collectively, we would do well by returning to the objective truth of the Bible. If people want to accept homosexual practice as God-appointed and approved, that is their option, but they do so against the indisputable clarity and teachings of the Bible.

Scripturally-speaking, homosexuality is never mentioned in Scripture in anything but negative terms with both Old and New Testament writings containing prohibitions against not only homosexual practice but sexual relations of all kinds outside of heterosexual marriage.

At its very best, pro-gay theology speculates and theorizes on what Scripture doesn’t say about homosexuality attempting to validate homosexual practice and is laid on a very, very shaky foundation indeed.

Genesis 1:27-28 and Genesis 2:18-24

“God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it.”

“The Lord God said, “it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make a help meet for him.”…and Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore, shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.”

Clearly, we are created beings, created with a specific intent. God’s blueprint for human sexuality as found in Genesis Chapters 1 and 2, clearly establishes that from the beginning God had a divine intent for human sexuality with well-defined holy boundary lines to live within regarding sexual expression.

Of course, there are those that will object, question, and criticize the clarity of Scripture by challenging with…

Challenge: Genesis Chapters 1 and 2 are completely and totally irrelevant because nowhere in the Scriptural passages is there even a mention of homosexuality.

Response: Exactly.

God’s divine intent for human sexuality was from the beginning as it remains today.

God’s Word does not adapt to culture – it transcends it.
