California has proposed a new law that would make counseling services, conferences, books, and resources that seek “to change an individual’s sexual orientation… [including] efforts to change behaviors or gender expression, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex” would no longer be available for purchase in the state of California. The bill, AB2943, seeks to declare as fraud any good or service that suggests sexual orientation can change.

In a new book by Ken Williams and Elizabeth Woning, Co-Founders of Equipped To Love, 37 men and women offer their stories on behalf of Californians to protect their rights to live according to their personal convictions.

There are few safe places for those who once identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer/questioning to publicly share their experiences of leaving homosexuality. Many who were contacted were unwilling to make their stories public due to the intense efforts some take to publicly shame them.
